IVICA KOSTELIĆ

Ivica Kostelić is a famous Croatian ski Olympian, also recognized for his successful sailing career. He is one of the most successful Croatian athletes of all time and a winner of four silver Olympic medals, which he won at three different Olympic Games. He is a winner of a large crystal globe and five small crystal globes, as well as the winner of 26 ski cup races. Over the years, he replaced his skis with sails, with whom he now successfully competes in regattas in the world. Last year, he won the Mediterranean champion title in Class 40 on the “ACI 40” boat and secured the overall title with second place at the Palermo-Monte Carlo regatta. Ivica Kostelić sailed in the Atlantic for over two years, and he is the first Croat in history to successfully do so using only sails. His best result in the Class 40 championship was 10th place in 2021. He also won an impressive 17th place sailing on the “Croatia Full of Life” boat, where he competed with 45 experienced crews sailing in the Transat Jacques Vabre regatta.
