Dino Ruta

Dino Ruta is a distinguished professor at Bocconi University, where he teaches students in the Leadership, Sports & Events Business course. He began his academic career with a master’s degree in Organization and Human Resource Management at Bocconi University in Milan in 1999. After that, he gained significant experience as a visiting scientist at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the USA in 2002. This was followed by a PhD in Human Capital Development at the University of Bologna in 2003. He developed his professional path through various roles. Since 2008, he has been a visiting professor at the Rutgers University School of Management, in parallel, from 2004 to 2012, he was an assistant professor for Organization and Human Resource Management at SDA Bocconi. After 2012, he became a professor of the practice of leadership, organization and digital technologies, a position he held until 2018. In addition to her academic roles, Ruta is active in a number of other professional activities. Among other things, he is an advisor for the UCI Cycling World Championship Trentino 2027 from 2024 and for the UEFA Academy from 2023. He is also the president of the Sport4Talent Foundation since 2019. In the past, he also worked as a consultant for the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) since 2017, he was a board member of Consorzio Vero Volley since 2011. Since 2014, he has been a consultant for Golf Resort and Spa Castello Tolcinasco. He was also a youth selection advisor at Juventus FC from 2016 to 2017 and an advisor for the province of Trento from 2017 to 2019. Ruta was also a nominated organizational criteria expert for the UEFA Licensing System and Financial Fair Play from 2006 to 2016 and an impact measurement consultant for the Giro d’Italia from 2012 to 2014. In addition, he interviewed various athletes such as Andre Agassi, Michael Phelps and Javier Zanetti about performance and leadership.
